When you place an Order for a product in any of the ways described above (“Order”) you are offering to buy it for the price stated, subject to these Terms. When you place your Order online we will send you an email to confirm that we have received it. This email confirmation will be produced automatically so that you have confirmation of your Order details, it will also act as your online receipt.

In rare cases, we may have an issue of stock availability or an item being delayed, If for any reason the Product is not available or delivery will be slightly delayed, we will let you know as promptly as we can by email or phone. If this happens, you will have the option to wait for your order, cancel your order (and receive a full refund) or choose an alternative / similar item which we will assist you in selecting. This does not affect your statutory rights. All new Orders are deemed separate and each is treated individually.

Price

The price for each product is shown on the website and includes V.A.T at 20%. We always try to make sure that the prices are accurate but errors may occur. If we discover an error in the pricing of the products in your order we will inform you as soon as possible using the contact details you supply us with. We will then give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. (If we are unable to reach you we will treat the order as cancelled). If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the products will be refunded in full. Please note that refunds are in GBP and we cannot be held responsible for any loss due to exchange rate fluctuations. Customers are responsible for Import Duty/Tax in their respective countries. Unfortunately we cannot advise you what these costs will be, please consult your local customs office for more information. If an item is bought during a sale, you will be refunded the price paid.

Payment

You must pay for your Order before it is delivered. You can do so by Credit Card, Debit Card, Bank Transfer or Paypal. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, JCB and Eurocard. To ensure that shopping online is secure, your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of someone being able to read them as they are sent over the Internet. Your credit card company may also do security checks to confirm it is you making the order. All order details and invoices will be sent to the credit card billing address. Your order will appear on your statement as ‘Southend Discount Gold Ltd’

Delivery

Southend Discount Gold delivers to all international destinations. If ordering from outside of the UK, Please contact us for details of the delivery charges prior to ordering. All orders are despatched either by “Royal Mail Special delivery” for UK destinations or “Royal Mail International Signed for” delivery to International destinations. All the services that we use require a signature so please specify an address where someone will be able to sign for your Products.

We will make every effort to deliver promptly but we cannot be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the products are not delivered within the estimated delivery time which we quote, please contact us by telephone or email and we will track your order immediately. Please note that while items sent by Royal mail international Signed For usually arrive within 5-10 working days, some parcels may take longer to be delivered. We cannot refund until goods are returned or declared lost. If declared lost by Royal Mail after 2 weeks, we will send a replacement out or offer a full refund.

Please order from Southend Discount Gold with enough lead-time to prevent any loss or disappointment resulting from the delivery time as we cannot be responsible for this.

Southend Discount Gold does not give you any right or interest in any copyright or intellectual property rights in any product nor the right to copy them. The copyright in Southend Discount Gold and the content of all the software, web site and pages relating to the Southend Discount Gold web site is owned by, or licensed by Southend Discount Gold unless otherwise specified and may not be used, copied or altered without our consent. Copyright extends to the design, look and feel of Southend Discount Gold, all photographs on it and its marketing materials. Refunds

We believe that you will be delighted with your product but there may be occasions where you feel it necessary to return an item. We aim to keep the process as simple as possible. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Please contact us by telephone or email sales@southenddiscountgold.co.uk to inform us of your wish to return products. We may allocate you with a returns code which should be included with the package to improve processing of your return. We may also advise you how to send the item back to us. Please use Royal Mail Special Delivery which requires a signature upon receipt and return to: Southend Discount Gold, 111 High Street, Southend on Sea. Essex. SS1 1LQ. You will be responsible for the returned products until they reach us. We will try to attend to all returns as soon as practically possible

For the reasons of hygiene, we are unable to accept returns of any items which have been used or worn unless faulty. We are unable to accept any returns of body jewellery including earrings, belly bars, nose studs etc.

Unwanted Products

Our policy is to ensure that you are satisfied every time you place an order with Southend Discount Gold. If you are unhappy with an item when you receive it, please contact us first and then return it with the despatch note, unused, having taken reasonable care of it complete with packaging and all components, for a full refund within 14 working days. We will make the refund directly to the credit/charge card used to place the original order within 7 days of receipt or earlier once we have inspected the returned item and are satisfied that it has been returned to us in the condition it was in when delivered to you. You will only have to pay for the return postage of the products, which must be by Royal Mail Special Delivery. We do not refund on return postage.

Faulty Products

We do our very best to ensure your products arrive in good condition. However, on the rare occasion that a product arrives damaged or with defects, or is not what you ordered, we will replace it free of charge or provide a full refund as appropriate if you return the product to us at the postal address below within 14 days of receipt by Royal Mail Special Delivery. In these circumstances we will also pay you the cost of the return postage. Please obtain a proof of posting certificate from your Post Office to enable us to process the refund for your return postage costs. This does not affect your Statutory Rights.

Unwanted Goods – Custom-made or Re-sized Products

Due to the bespoke nature of custom-made or re-sized products we are unable to offer our usual Money Back Guarantee on unwanted goods. This does not apply to any item deemed faulty.

Deposit Scheme

We accept deposits on all of our products. Please contact us at the shop during opening hours on 01702 332 482 and we will reserve your item for you. When you set up a deposit on our system we will provide exact details of the final payment date in writing (on your receipt). There are no set rules in how much or how often you need to pay during the deposit period as long as the full amount is paid by the final payment date provided. If the total amount of the purchase price is not paid by the final payment date then the item will be resold and all payments will be forfeited.

Jewellery Weights

All weights listed are approximates and we (Southend Discount Gold Ltd) and our suppliers can not guarantee the weights to be exactly as listed. We do our upmost to ensure the weights are as accurate as possible.

Privacy and Data Policy

Southend Discount Gold makes a commitment to protecting your privacy and we promise only to use information collected about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. When you place an Order, we may ask you for certain information and you will need to submit personal data such as your name, phone number, postal address, email address, contact and bank / credit card details. This information will be kept securely in accordance with our internal security policy and may be used to: process your order, provide you with an up to date, efficient, and reliable service and help fraud prevention. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. We are fully compliant with PCI DSS regulations.

You always have the right to unsubscribe and will continue to keep you informed unless you tell us not to.
